Off-road enthusiasts and pickup aficionados everywhere got an early holiday gift when the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado was unveiled last month. Debuting at the Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic, the new Colorado boasts an updated exterior with revamped badges and emblems and will do more to differentiate trims.
One of the most popular versions of the Colorado, the ZR2, is set to make its premiere at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Chevrolet says that the 2021 Colorado ZR1 will boast a new, exclusive flow-through “Chevrolet” front fascia and standard red tow hooks, giving it a “segment of one” aesthetic that sets it apart. The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR1 will remain the standard for off-roading among midsize trucks thanks to its segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV™ position-sensitive dampers, Autotrac transfer case, and 2-inch suspension lift.
Chevrolet also announced that the Z71 and ZR2 will be available with a new Sand Dune Metallic exterior paint option. The Colorado WT, LT, and Z71 will feature revised center bars, lower fascias, and front skid plates; the WT and LT will boast gold Chevy bowties, and the Z71 gets a more aggressive black bowtie.
“We’ve sold 520,000 Colorado pickups in five years through a relentless, foot-on-the-gas approach to product and feature updates,” said Bob Krapes, director of marketing, Chevrolet Trucks. “With its new-look front end and tailgate, Colorado will now have a more aggressive appearance to match its award-winning capability.”
The new and improved 2021 Chevrolet Colorado will arrive at Cecil Atkission GM sometime next year. Stay tuned for more details!
